Currently, Blizzard Beach does not have any hours on the calendar starting March 12, but it’s highly unlikely that Walt Disney World would have a week-long gap between the closure of Blizzard Beach and opening of Typhoon Lagoon. What’s unclear is whether Blizzard Beach will close when Typhoon Lagoon reopens for the season. With the colder temperatures, Walt Disney World does not need two water parks, resulting in staggered closures of each. The water park will reopen after its refurbishment, which occurs each winter both out of necessity and lack of demand. Let’s start with the good news: Typhoon Lagoon is reopening on March 19, 2023.
